In order to drill a new deviated wellbore away from the original wellbore, a sidetracking operation may be performed as a preplanned or contingency operation. Preplanned operations are carried out for drilling a reentry well and contingency operations are performed for bypassing an obstacle such as a fish, junk, unstable formation or casing collapse.
